Overview

Product overview

The disposable plastic spreader is a laboratory tool for spreading, stirring and mixing liquids, solid samples or reagents. Being single-use, it helps reduce the risk of cross-contamination. It is made of high-impact polystyrene (HIPS) in an L-shaped design, is enzyme- and pyrogen-free, and is sterilised with ethylene oxide.

The spreader must not be autoclaved or flamed with an alcohol lamp. Work aseptically, wash hands and wear gloves before it touches samples, check that it is intact before use, never use damaged items, and dispose of it in an appropriate waste container according to laboratory waste rules.
