Product overview
EC-MUG Medium is used for detection in drinking water and source water by the multiple-tube fermentation technique. It is an EC-type formulation of tryptone, lactose, bile salts No.3 and phosphate buffers with MUG at 0.05 g/L and a final pH of 6.9±0.2.
Suspend 37.05 g in 1 L of distilled or deionized water, boil with frequent agitation to dissolve, autoclave at 115 °C for 20 minutes and cool to room temperature. Dehydrated powder (GF1116F) and granulated (KL1116F) forms are stored dry and away from light and have a 3-year sealed shelf life.
