Egg Yolk Tellurite Enrichment (TJ005F) is a supplement for the selective isolation and enumeration of coagulase-positive staphylococci. It consists of 30% egg yolk saline and a 1% potassium tellurite solution.
Each vial is added to 100 mL of Baird-Parker Agar Base (GF1024F / KL1024F) and mixed thoroughly to prepare Baird-Parker Agar. Store dark and dry at 2-8 °C; sealed product has a 1-year shelf life.
