Overview

Product overview

Biocomma Empty Screw Cap Spin Columns are designed for small-volume protein purification and can be filled with media such as agarose, dextran, ion exchange resin or biogel. Purification is by centrifugation, which makes it quick.

The workflow given is to load resin into the column, let it settle, twist off the bottom and let excess buffer drain, load the sample to bind, centrifuge to remove unbound impurities and then elute the purified product. Columns are medical polypropylene with polyethylene frits for minimal protein binding, hold 800 µL with 40-400 µL of resin, and fit 1.5 mL and 2.0 mL centrifuge tubes.
