Overview

Product overview

Enterobacteria Enrichment Broth is an enrichment medium for enteric bacteria; formulation B (GF614F) is described for enrichment cultures of bile salt-resistant Gram-negative bacteria. Both formulations combine a peptone source, glucose, 20 g/L ox bile salt, phosphate buffers and 0.015 g/L brilliant green, with a final pH of 7.2±0.2.

Formulation A (GF1068F powder, KL1068F granulated) is dispensed at 30 mL per flask and autoclaved at 115 °C for 20 minutes. Formulation B (GF614F) is distributed and heated at 100 °C for 30 minutes, then cooled immediately, and is stored at 2-25 °C. All codes have a 3-year sealed shelf life.
