Request a quoteOverview
These sterile, unsupported, naturally hydrophilic mixed cellulose ester (MCE) membranes use different pore sizes to enrich and culture specific bacteria, and are widely used in microbial analysis and research. The printed grid lines help differentiate and count colonies without affecting growth. The ink is described as nontoxic and free of growth inhibitors, with lines spaced at 3.1 mm.
The membranes are stated to comply with ISO7704, with microbial recovery above 90% and a sterilising filtration efficiency of LRV >7 (ASTM bacterial challenge test with ATCC19146). White grid membranes are designed for recovery and retention of E. coli in water and waste-water analysis and other microbiological tests; black membranes provide contrast with residues or colony colours without counter-staining. Each is irradiation sterilised, individually wrapped in an easy-peel pack (or continuously packed in some versions), with a 3-year shelf life.

Grid lines at 3.1 mm spacing help differentiate and count colonies without affecting growth.
White membrane with black or green grid, or black membrane with white grid for contrast.
Irradiation sterilised, individually packed in easy-peel packs, with a 3-year shelf life.
0.22, 0.45 and 0.80 µm pores in 47 mm and 50 mm discs.
Calibrated mixed cellulose esters are designed to maximise flow rate.
Al-Shaker specifies the configuration, documents the system, and supports it across Jordan, the GCC, and MENA.
