Product overview
LB Agar (Miller) is used to cultivate Escherichia coli in molecular biology experiments. The pH 7.0 version is intended for general bacterial culture, strain maintenance and routine use; the pH 7.5 version is optimised for molecular cloning, plasmid preparation, high-density E. coli culture and protein expression.
Both versions share the same composition: tryptone, yeast extract, 10 g/L sodium chloride and agar. Suspend 40.0 g per litre of purified water, boil to dissolve and autoclave.
