Product overview
Minimal SD Base is a synthetic basal medium for yeast. It consists of YNB and dextrose, providing essential growth factors, inorganic salts, an inorganic nitrogen source and a carbon source.
Auxotrophic selection or reporter gene activation is achieved by adding the appropriate DO Supplement. To prepare, suspend 26.7 g of the base with 1.3 g of DO supplement in 1 L of distilled water and sterilise by filtration or autoclaving. Agar (20 g/L) is optional for plates.
