Product overview
Modified Cellobiose Polymyxin B Colistin Agar is a base medium for the selective isolation and cultivation of pathogenic Vibrio species, including Vibrio vulnificus. Biocomma supplies it as a dehydrated powder (GF1129F) and as granulated medium (KL1129F).
The base uses peptone and beef extract with 20.0 g/L sodium chloride and bromothymol blue and cresol red as indicators. It is prepared at 50.1 g per litre and does not need autoclaving; after cooling to 48-55 °C, 2 vials of supplement TJ023F are aseptically added to every 90 mL of base.

- Suspend 50.1 g in 1 L of purified water; boil to dissolve; no autoclaving needed; cool to 48-55 °C and aseptically add 2 vials of supplement TJ023F to every 90 mL of base medium

- Precautions
- Not for clinical use. Do not use if the powder is lumpy. After use, autoclave all contaminated materials at 121 °C for 30 minutes before disposal.
