- Weigh 64.3 g into 1 L of distilled water; heat while stirring until dissolved; autoclave at 121 °C for 15 min; pour into sterile plates. For modified MRS, cool to 45 °C after sterilization and add 1 vial of mupirocin lithium salt and 1 vial of cysteine hydrochloride per 100 mL.

Product overview
MRS Agar is a rich agar medium combining peptone, beef extract, yeast extract, glucose, Tween-80, dipotassium phosphate, sodium acetate, triammonium citrate, magnesium sulfate and manganese sulfate (final pH 6.2±0.2).
Weigh 64.3 g into 1 L of distilled water, heat with stirring until dissolved and autoclave at 121 °C for 15 minutes. For modified MRS, cool to 45 °C after sterilization and add one vial of mupirocin lithium salt and one vial of cysteine hydrochloride per 100 mL of medium. Supplied as dehydrated powder (GF1084F) and granulated (KL1084F), both with a 3-year sealed shelf life.
