Product overview
Biocomma supplies Novobiocin as a supplement for selective culture media in four presentations. TJ002F (4.5 mg per vial) is a supplement for enriching Escherichia coli O157 from food and other samples, added to Shigella Broth Base (GF1033F / KL1033F) to give Modified EC Broth. TJ035F (0.25 mg) is for the isolation of Yersinia enterocolitica and is one of the supplements used with CIN Agar Base (GF1124F / KL1124F).
TJ006RF (0.55 mg, lyophilized powder) and TJ006F (125 µg) are for the selective enrichment of Shigella; TJ006RF is rehydrated with 5 mL sterile distilled water and added to 1 L of Shigella Broth Base (GF1016F / KL1016F), while TJ006F is added to 225 mL of the same base. All are stored dark and dry at 2-8 °C.

Preparation
- Use, TJ002F
- Add each vial to 225 mL of Shigella Broth Base (GF1033F / KL1033F) to prepare Modified EC Broth (enrichment of Escherichia coli O157 from food and other samples)
- Use, TJ035F
- Add each vial of TJ063F, TJ035F, TJ036F and TJ037F to every 95 mL of CIN Agar Base (GF1124F / KL1124F) to prepare CIN Agar (isolation of Yersinia enterocolitica)
- Use, TJ006RF
- Rehydrate the contents of 1 vial with 5 mL sterile distilled water and aseptically add to every 1 L of Shigella Broth Base (GF1016F / KL1016F) to prepare Shigella Broth
- Use, TJ006F
- Add each vial to 225 mL of Shigella Broth Base (GF1016F / KL1016F) to prepare Shigella Broth
