Product overview
Nutrient Broth (NB) is a general-purpose liquid medium for the cultivation of less fastidious microorganisms. Its formula is limited to 10.0 g/L peptone, 3.0 g/L beef extract and 5.0 g/L sodium chloride, with no selective agents.
Suspend 18.0 g in 1 L of purified water, boil with frequent agitation until dissolved, then distribute and autoclave at 121 °C for 15 minutes. The final pH is 7.4 ± 0.2 for GF1025F and KL1025F, and 7.2 ± 0.2 for GF630F.
Three catalogue codes are listed: GF1025F and GF630F (dehydrated powder) and KL1025F (granulated). All have a 5-year sealed shelf life and are stored in a dark, dry place at 2-25 °C. The product is not for clinical use.
