biocomma® Paper Filters are moulded from filter paper and polyethylene with a plastic bracket, giving a large filtration surface for gravity-flow filtration of viscous liquids such as bacterial cell lysate.
The maker reports that the 25 mL paper filter, used together with the plasmid maxiprep column RS30-2, takes about 5 minutes to filter 20 mL of lysate. The material is insoluble in aqueous solutions for long periods and resists common acids, bases and organic solvents.
