Product overview
Reinforced Medium for Clostridia is a dehydrated medium listed for the cultivation of Clostridia (CP/USP/EP). It combines peptone, beef extract and yeast extract with glucose and soluble starch, and cysteine hydrochloride and a very small agar content (0.5 g/L).
The powder is prepared at 38.0 g per litre of purified water, boiled to dissolve, distributed into flasks and autoclaved at 121 °C for 15 minutes. Final pH is 6.8±0.2 and sealed product has a 3-year shelf life.
