Request a quoteOverview
These tissue culture sealing films are made of polypropylene that is non-toxic to cultures and can be sterilised under high temperature and pressure. They are mainly used to seal culture bottles and can also seal flasks of medium during sterilisation, allowing air exchange while keeping other microorganisms out.
An edge-sealed PTFE microporous filter membrane (pore size 0.2-0.3 µm, 16 mm or 30 mm diameter) keeps the seal breathable but bacteria-proof, withstands temperatures up to 135 °C and is transparent enough to watch culture growth. Film sizes from 120 to 160 mm square are offered, plus matching rubber bands.
