Request a quoteOverview
This high-temperature-resistant sealing film is made of high-quality polypropylene that is non-toxic to cultures and can be sterilised under high temperature and pressure. It is mainly used to seal culture bottles and can also seal flasks of medium during sterilisation. It lets air exchange take place while blocking entry of other microorganisms, preventing bacterial contamination.
The film is transparent, 0.06 mm (6 mil) thick, with an edge-sealed PTFE microporous membrane of 0.2–0.3 µm pore size. Filter windows of 16 mm or 30 mm diameter are offered on 120, 140 and 160 mm films. Operating temperature must not exceed 135 °C. A high-temperature-resistant rubber band is available as an accessory.
