Product overview
Shigella Broth from Biocomma is a granulated base medium built on an enzymatic digest of casein, buffered with potassium phosphates and containing glucose and Tween 80. It is completed after sterilisation with a vial of supplement TJ006 per 225 mL of base.
The granulated medium is suspended at 31.5 g per litre of purified water, boiled to dissolve, dispensed in 225 mL portions into flasks and autoclaved at 121 °C for 15 minutes. After cooling below 50 °C, the supplement is added aseptically. Final pH is 7.0±0.2 and sealed product has a 5-year shelf life.
