Product overview
Soybean-Casein Digest Agar is intended for determining sedimentation (settling) bacteria and floating (airborne) bacteria in clean rooms, clean areas and aseptic rooms in the pharmaceutical industry. The application statement references CP, USP and EP.
The formula is 15.0 g/L pancreatic digest of casein, 5.0 g/L papaic digest of soybean, 5.0 g/L sodium chloride and 15.0 g/L agar. Suspend 40.0 g in 1 L of purified water, boil with frequent agitation until dissolved, then distribute and autoclave at 121 °C for 15 minutes. The final pH is 7.3 ± 0.2.
Sealed shelf life is 5 years, stored in a dark, dry place at 2-25 °C with the bottle cap tightened after use. The product is not for clinical use.
