Super Broth (SB) is a concentrated, nutrient-rich medium optimised for efficient plasmid amplification and protein expression.
It contains 32 g/L tryptone and 20 g/L yeast extract, which provide nitrogen sources, vitamins and growth factors, along with 5 g/L sodium chloride to balance osmotic pressure. Suspend 57.0 g in 1 L of purified water, boil to dissolve and autoclave at 121 °C for 15 minutes.
