Product overview
Trypticase Soy Broth (TSB) is used for performing microbial enumeration tests and tests for specified microorganisms when testing nonsterile pharmaceutical products. The GF604F listing adds the CP, USP and EP references, and the GF1065F listing carries ISO 10273 in its standards field.
The formula is 17.0 g/L pancreatic digest of casein, 3.0 g/L papaic digest of soybean, 2.5 g/L dextrose, 5.0 g/L sodium chloride and 2.5 g/L dipotassium phosphate. Suspend 30.0 g in 1 L of purified water, boil with frequent agitation until dissolved, then distribute and autoclave at 121 °C for 15 minutes. The final pH is 7.3 ± 0.2.
