Product overview
Tryptone Soybean Agar (TSA) is used for the isolation and cultivation of both nonfastidious and fastidious microorganisms. It combines 15.0 g/L pancreatic digest of casein with 5.0 g/L papaic digest of soybean, sodium chloride and agar. The source lists ISO 11133 in its standards field.
Suspend 40.0 g in 1 L of purified water, boil with frequent agitation until dissolved, then distribute and autoclave at 121 °C for 15 minutes. The final pH is 7.3 ± 0.2.
Sealed shelf life is 5 years, stored in a dark, dry place at 2-25 °C with the bottle cap tightened after use. The product is not for clinical use.
