Product overview
This XLD formulation is listed for the selective isolation of Salmonella in pharmaceutical products, with CP, EP and USP references on the product page. It is separate from Biocomma's general XLD Agar (GF1022F / KL1022F) and has its own composition, including 2.5 g/L sodium deoxycholate.
The powder is suspended at 55.2 g per litre of purified water and heated with frequent agitation until boiling to dissolve. It must not be autoclaved. Final pH is 7.4±0.2 and sealed product has a 3-year shelf life at 2-25 °C.
