Product overview
Modified Yersinia Agar is listed for the isolation and cultivation of Yersinia enterocolitica. Selectivity comes from sodium deoxycholate, bile salt No. 3, sodium oxalate and rose bengal, while peptone, hydrolyzed casein and lactose supply the nutrient base.
The powder is prepared at 67.0 g per litre of purified water, boiled to dissolve, distributed and autoclaved at 121 °C for 15 minutes. Final pH is 7.4±0.1 and sealed product has a 3-year shelf life.
