Overview

Product overview

The CC-200, previously the Stuart SC6PLUS, is a digital colony counter for microbiology labs in food, pharmaceutical and research settings. A count is registered each time a felt-tip marker is pressed on the Petri dish, with the running total shown on a digital display and confirmed by an optional audible tone.

Pressure sensitivity is adjustable to suit each user, and energy-saving white LEDs provide glare-free sub-stage illumination. A supplied black background filter improves contrast for translucent or hard-to-see colonies.

The counter can read individual plates or calculate an average across several plates. Counts and statistics, including standard deviation, can be sent to a printer or computer over the supplied USB cable. Optional 1.7x and 3x magnifiers help with small colonies, and the housing has an antimicrobial coating.
