Cole-Parmer SI-200D Stuart Shaking Incubator, 51 L

The SI-200D, previously the Stuart SI500, is a 51 L benchtop shaking incubator for bacterial culture and other applications needing mixing at controlled temperature. A 16 mm orbit at 30 to 300 rpm gives even mixing, and forced-air circulation keeps the chamber temperature uniform up to 60 °C.

Speed and temperature are set and shown on a digital display, with microprocessor control of shaking speed. The timer runs from 1 second to 9 days; at the end an alarm sounds and shaking stops while incubation continues.

The retractable 33.5 x 33.5 cm platform slides out for easy access to samples at the back and locks during operation, and the clamping system holds flasks up to 1 L. A USB connection with dedicated software allows long-term temperature monitoring from a PC, and versions with IQ/OQ documentation are available.
