Request a quoteOverview
The FC5 Hornet is a low-cost passive alcohol screening tool for schools, traffic enforcement, probation, jails, mining and other safety-sensitive settings. It needs no mouthpiece or cooperation from the subject and can sample a person's breath, an open container or the surrounding air.
It uses the same alcohol-specific platinum fuel cell technology as Lifeloc's law enforcement breathalyzers, with a sensor the maker states is up to four times larger than those in traditional alcohol wands. Three test modes (Pos/Neg, Zero/Low/High levels and Open Container) and an automatic day/night backlit display adapt it to different screening situations.
It is supplied with a removable safety-yellow silicone grip, a carry case and four AA batteries, and is made in the USA.
