Product overview
Ultim Max Infinity is an EDS detector range for FE- and FIB-SEMs, offering sensor sizes from 40 mm² up to 170 mm² with the same guaranteed analytical performance for every size. Larger sensors collect more X-rays, which compensates for the lower count rates at the low accelerating voltages used for nano-characterisation.
Guaranteed resolution is 46 eV or better at C K and 59 eV or better at F K up to 50,000 cps, and 127 eV or better at Mn K up to 200,000 cps, tested on installation to ISO 15632:2021. Each detector is characterised on an SEM during manufacture and given its own Tru-Q IQ optimisation to support accurate quantification and resolution of peak overlaps.
It works with AZtecLive for live chemical imaging and high-count-rate X-ray mapping with pile-up correction.
