Product overview
Xplore is a compact EDS detector for routine microanalysis in the SEM. It uses technology from the Ultim Max Infinity detectors, including the high-throughput X4 electronics, in a smaller and lower-cost package, and removes components such as motorised insertion and extra cooling capacity to make in-field repair practical.
It is available with 15, 30 or 65 mm² sensors, supports mapping at count rates above 1,000,000 cps and guarantees Mn Kα resolution below 129 eV at 100 kcps for all sensor sizes. Detection covers Be to Cf for the 30 and 65 mm² versions and B to Cf for the 15 mm² version.
Users can choose AZtecOne, a simplified interface for little or no EDS experience, or AZtecLive for advanced functionality with live chemical imaging. Typical uses include failure analysis.
