Overview

Product overview

SCION’s headspace range is the inlet when the analyte is in the vapour above the sample: residual solvents, flavour compounds, and volatile organics in gas, liquid, or solid matrices. Versa is the compact 20-position static sampler with a single platen and a heated flow path to 200 °C. HT3 static holds 60 vials with a 10-position heating chamber to 300 °C. HT3 dynamic keeps that throughput and adds a multi-bed sorbent trap for trace-level work, also heated to 300 °C.

The pitch is low consumable cost (no extraction solvent), automation, and software that can run as a stand-alone sampler on other GC brands as well as on SCION 8300/8500 and 8700/8900 systems. Typical methods are pharmaceutical residual solvents, food aroma, and environmental headspace VOCs in water.

Al-Shaker specifies Versa versus HT3 static versus dynamic to the detection limit and the vial count, then installs the sampler on the chromatograph it actually serves.

Features

Key features

  • 01

Versa when twenty vials is the day

Compact static headspace, flow path to 200 °C, without a 60-position chassis on a small GC.

  • 02

    HT3 for sixty vials and 300 °C

Ten-position oven so equilibration is a queue, not a bottleneck, for residual-solvent sequences.

  • 03

Dynamic trap when static is not enough

Multi-bed sorbent on the HT3 for sub-method VOCs that a single platen pull will miss.
