Overview

Product overview

The Sigma 1-16 is the larger sister of the 1-14: a compact unrefrigerated microcentrifuge with RCF above 20,600 × g, a stainless-steel bowl, and a motorised lid lock. Maximum capacity is 36 × 2 ml; maximum speed is 15,000 rpm and 20,627 × g. Ten standard programs store on the controller. Rotors cover PCR strips, filter tubes, 2 ml and 5 ml microlitre tubes, a closable biosafe 36 × 2 ml rotor, a 12 × 5 ml rotor, and 24 haematocrit capillaries. The 1-16K adds refrigeration; an IVD model is listed on the same page.

Al-Shaker specifies 1-16 versus 1-16K and the first rotor, then installs and supports the microcentrifuge on pharmaceutical, clinical, and research benches across Jordan, the GCC, and MENA.
