Request a quoteOverview
The Sigma 1-16K is the refrigerated version of the Sigma 1-16. It combines a space-saving design with a high-grade stainless steel bowl, short acceleration and braking times and a motorised lid lock. RCF reaches 20,627 x g at 15,000 rpm, and Sigma states that +4 °C is reliably maintained at maximum speed.
A fan control adapts fan speed to the required cooling capacity, which Sigma says makes the unit noticeably quieter and cuts power consumption. The rotor range covers PCR strips, filter tubes, 2 ml and 5 ml tubes and microhaematocrit capillaries, including a closable 36 x 2 ml biosafe rotor and a 12 x 5 ml rotor.
Ten standard programs can be stored. An IVD model is also available.
