Request a quoteOverview
The Sigma 2-16KHL is the refrigerated and heated variant of the 2-16 series. Sigma recommends it for specimens whose viscosity has to be reduced during centrifugation and for molecular biology work aimed at improving cell viability. Its compact design fits in every lab.
A wide range of fixed-angle and swing-out rotors takes PCR tubes, test tubes, round-bottom tubes, culture tubes and microtiter plates, with a haematocrit rotor to round off the range. Capacity is 4 x 100 ml in a swing-out rotor or 6 x 50 ml in a fixed-angle rotor, with RCF up to 21,913 x g at 15,300 rpm.
The temperature range is -10 to +60 °C, and the Rapid Temp function pre-conditions the chamber and accessories. Up to 50 protocols can be stored, with ten selectable acceleration and braking curves. An inert gas port is an available option.
