Product overview
The Sigma 3-30KHS is the refrigerated and heated version of Sigma's benchtop high-speed centrifuge, placed between laboratory centrifuges and ultracentrifuges. RCF values of more than 70,000 x g permit fast separation of microscopic particles and cell fragments.
The temperature range is -20 to +60 °C, which makes it especially suitable for specimens whose viscosity must be reduced during centrifugation. A drive designed for very high speeds allows RCF above 70,000 x g with microlitre tubes. Twenty rotors are available with tube capacities of 0.2 to 94 ml (fixed-angle) and 0.2 to 100 ml (swing-out), and microtiter and deepwell plates can also be run.
Typical fields are cellular and molecular biology, diagnostics, clinical biology, nanotechnology, research and genetics. Biosafe fixed-angle rotors and an RS 232 interface are options, and an inert gas port can be fitted to the series.
