Sigma 4-16KS Refrigerated Benchtop Centrifuge

The Sigma 4-16KS is a refrigerated benchtop centrifuge with versatile rotor configurations and outstanding capacity: up to 4 x 750 ml in a swing-out rotor or 6 x 250 ml in a fixed-angle rotor. Smooth running supports reproducible sedimentation, and the high-performance refrigeration system allows centrifuging below 0 °C depending on rotor and speed.

Numerous swing-out and fixed-angle rotors, buckets and adapters, including biosafe versions, accommodate tubes and flasks from 0.2 to 750 ml and microtiter and deepwell plates. A 6 x 250 ml rotor reaches 13,131 x g, and 50 ml culture tubes can be spun at more than 23,000 x g.

The patented Spincontrol S controller provides 30 acceleration and 30 braking profiles, a process library with named protocols, automatic rotor identification, run-time and speed monitoring and password protection. Options include an inert gas port, clinic and cell culture packages, biosafe rotors and an RS 232 interface.
