Sigma 4-16S Benchtop Centrifuge

The Sigma 4-16S is a benchtop centrifuge with versatile rotor configurations and outstanding capacity. Large specimen volumes are handled efficiently with up to 4 x 750 ml in a swing-out rotor or 6 x 250 ml in a fixed-angle rotor, and smooth running gives reproducible sedimentation results.

Many swing-out and fixed-angle rotors, buckets and adapters are offered, including biosafe configurations, for tubes and flasks from 0.2 to 750 ml as well as microtiter and deepwell plates. Sigma highlights a 6 x 250 ml rotor with 13,131 x g maximum RCF and the ability to centrifuge 50 ml culture tubes above 23,000 x g.

The patented Spincontrol S one-knob controller offers 30 acceleration and 30 braking profiles, named protocol storage, automatic rotor identification, run-time and speed monitoring and password-protected access. Suitable for research labs, hospitals, universities, pharmaceutical labs, cell culture and biotechnology. Refrigerated 4-16KS and refrigerated-and-heated 4-16KHS versions exist.
