Product overview
The Sigma 6-5KRL is built for total lab automation, processing clinical IVD specimens or life-science samples. It suits very high volumes of specimen tubes, and its compact construction, additional sliding lid, RS 232 connectivity and rotor positioning ease integration into automated workflows.
Remote control allows direct command of the centrifuge, including the sliding lid used for robot loading and unloading and the defined positioning of the bucket directly beneath the lid opening. The sliding lid opens and closes in 3 seconds and rotor indexing takes only 5 seconds.
A low-profile lid lets the unit be placed directly beneath the work platform to minimise the robot Z axis length. Acceleration and braking take up to 29 and 30 seconds respectively, and smooth running gives reproducible results. Capacity is up to 140 blood collection tubes or 16 microtiter plates.
