Product overview
The Sigma 8KS Clinic is a refrigerated floor-standing centrifuge developed for blood banks, transfusion facilities and clinical laboratories. Its rotor range accommodates up to 12 blood bag systems, 6 x 1,500 ml vials or 48 microtiter plates, so large specimen volumes can be handled per run.
Very smooth running gives reproducible sedimentation. Intuitive operation and an ergonomic loading height of just 88 cm ease daily work. With a stated noise level of 54 dB(A) and a compact footprint for its class, it creates a quiet lab environment. Maximum RCF is 5,394 x g at 4,100 rpm.
The cooling system is adjustable from -20 to +40 °C, and the Rapid Temp programme pre-cools the chamber and accessories, which is important for chilled blood bags and temperature-sensitive specimens. An RS 232 interface and the DataSuite documentation system are options.
