Request a quoteOverview
Proteinase K is a recombinant enzyme expressed in Pichia pastoris, originally from the mold Tritirachium album. It is a highly active subtilisin-related serine endopeptidase without pronounced cleavage specificity, so it is treated as a universal tool for preparing nucleic acid templates.
It is supplied lyophilised (100 mg, 1 g) and as a solution (1 ml, 20 mg/ml). Endonuclease, DNase and RNase activity are not detectable at the tested levels.
