Overview

Product overview

RNase A is an endoribonuclease from bovine pancreas for molecular biology applications. Its main use is removing RNA from plasmid DNA preparations and extractions; it is also used to remove non-specifically bound RNA, in RNase protection assays, RNA sequence analysis and hydrolysis of RNA in protein samples.

Activity is 60 units/mg protein or higher (Kunitz), molecular mass 13.7 kDa, with an optimum temperature of 60 C and optimum pH 7.5. No DNase is detected. Animal-derived material is of USDA-approved origin.
