Product overview
T4 DNA Ligase catalyses formation of a phosphodiester bond between adjacent 5'-phosphate and 3'-hydroxyl ends in duplex DNA or RNA. It joins blunt-end and cohesive-end termini and repairs single-stranded nicks in duplex DNA, RNA or DNA-RNA hybrids.
The enzyme is an ultrapure recombinant protein and uses ATP as an essential cofactor. It is supplied in 4000 and 20000 unit packs.
