Request a quoteOverview
ViSafe Red Gel Stain is a stable, sensitive and environmentally safer fluorescent dye for dsDNA, ssDNA or RNA in agarose or polyacrylamide gels. Its spectra match those of EtBr, so it can replace EtBr without changing the imaging system.
Ames test results show it is non-cytotoxic and non-mutagenic at working concentrations and does not cross cell membranes. It is stable at room temperature, tolerates heating and microwaving, and gels can be viewed with a UV transilluminator or other imaging systems.
