Overview

Product overview

Viva qGreen II Fluorescent Dye is equivalent to EvaGreen and is one of the most sensitive dyes for detecting double-stranded DNA in qPCR and high-resolution DNA melt analysis. Its excitation and emission spectra are close to FAM, so it works on instruments with a 488 nm laser or similar visible excitation and is read in the FAM channel.

It is less inhibitory to PCR than the SYBR Green-equivalent qGreen I dye, can be used at higher concentration for stronger signal and avoids dye redistribution problems during melt analysis. It is compatible with fast PCR and multiplex PCR, and is noncytotoxic and nonmutagenic.
