Product overview
Prosil C18 is Ashtech Science's own reversed-phase HPLC column line, made with a UK manufacturer. It uses modern Type B silica with a 140 Å pore size, 175 m²/g surface area and 11 % carbon load, and is aimed at both routine QC and more demanding separations.
The columns are positioned as a cost-effective replacement for established C18 phases such as Hypersil, Spherisorb ODS, Nucleosil 120 C18, YMC ODS-A and Zorbax Rx-C18. Ashtech presents them as a way to update existing methods with minimal disruption while gaining peak shape, robustness and batch-to-batch reproducibility.
Analytical columns come in 3 µm and 5 µm particle sizes, 2.1, 3.0 and 4.6 mm internal diameters and 100, 150 and 250 mm lengths, with matching guard column kits and a guard holder. Other dimensions may be available on request.
