Request a quoteOverview
The BWB BIO is a specialist flame photometer for biological samples, with features built in for the analysis of serum and urine. It provides routine, quick and accurate determinations of sodium and potassium, or lithium and calcium, and its specification was shaped by researchers working in renal, diabetes and Alzheimer's research.
The instrument is supplied with multi-point serum and urine calibration standards and an IQ/OQ/PQ kit, and IQ/OQ/PQ certification is standard on this model. A caesium or lithium internal reference standard can be used to improve accuracy and reproducibility, and calcium readings are corrected for interference from high sodium.
With the FP-PC software, users can view and edit calibration curves and produce PDF and CSV reports. For labs that do not allow PCs, the integrated printer provides hard copies for QA/QC. The BIO is also the base unit that BWB's Automated Fluid Handling System (AFHS) was originally designed around.
