Request a quoteOverview
The BWB XP has been BWB Technologies' flagship flame photometer since 2006. It uses five detection channels so that Na, K, Li, Ca and Ba are read and shown together from a single aspiration, removing the filter swaps and recalibration that single-channel designs need when the analyte changes.
The instrument runs on propane, butane or LPG and ships with a built-in air compressor, calibration standards, diluent and labware, so a lab only has to connect gas to start working. Results go to a PC over USB through the FP-PC software as CSV or PDF reports, and an analogue output, optional 4-20 mA output and optional printer are available.
Typical applications listed by BWB include sodium and potassium in drinking and low-level water samples, foods such as bread, cheese, meat and milk powder, plant and soil extracts, cement and silicate rocks, biodiesel, and calcium in serum and urine. A built-in correction compensates calcium readings for interference from high sodium levels.
Specifications
20 parameters
Na, K, Li, Ca and Ba are detected and displayed together, so no filter changes or recalibration between elements.
No external air supply is needed; only fuel gas has to be connected.
10,000 ppm standards for all five elements, diluent, cleaning solution, pipettes and sample cups are supplied.
USB link to the FP-PC software for CSV and PDF reports and sharing results across a network.
Calcium results are corrected for interference from high sodium concentrations.
Web-based IQ, OQ and PQ certification is available for regulated laboratories.
Al-Shaker specifies the configuration, documents the system, and supports it across Jordan, the GCC, and MENA.
