Product overview
The BWB SOIL flame photometer was developed for the analysis of fertilisers and soil substrates, building on research by Professor Akiharu Sasaki on flame photometry in agriculture. It is based on the XP platform and optimised for agricultural laboratories.
It measures sodium, potassium and calcium simultaneously, with enhanced calcium detection, and lithium can be used as an internal reference standard. Calcium results are corrected for interference from high sodium.
Because it only needs a gas supply and is easy to move, the SOIL can be installed in the back of a van for on-site field analysis. A thermal printer is fitted as standard to keep sample traceability, and the unit can work with BWB's collection cup or the AFHS automated sample handling system.
