Request a quoteOverview
The BWB SUGAR is a specialty flame photometer requested and designed for sugar production, where flame photometry has long been used to control potassium and sodium. BWB optimised its optical array so the instrument has a dedicated channel arrangement for precise and accurate potassium and sodium measurement.
For continuous monitoring, the collection cup gives the instrument real-time access to a sample stream: the sample only needs to be near ambient temperature and fed at about 5 mL per minute. A two-wire 4-20 mA output links directly to SCADA systems, and an internal reference standard is available.
Through the FP-PC software, results from several installations can be shared over the intranet or internet so that a central control room can supervise remote refinery sites, and CSV files can be used to build custom spreadsheets. The unit is supplied with multi-point sodium and potassium calibration solutions, a built-in air compressor and labware.
