Overview

Product overview

This configuration combines the BWB XP five-channel flame photometer with BWB's Automated Fluid Handling System (AFHS), aimed at industrial laboratories that process tens or hundreds of samples a day. Instead of an operator introducing every sample, the autosampler and auto-diluter run the sequence automatically.

Automation is built on BWB's auto-read technology, in which firmware decides analytically when readings from the multi-channel detector are stable. The autosampler takes up to 89 samples on interchangeable trays, and the auto-diluter can be set from 1:6 to 1:100. With the diluter a sample takes about 130 seconds (around 25 per hour); without it, about 80 seconds (around 40 per hour).

A thermal printer sits on top of the photometer to save bench space and uses widely available calculator paper. The autosampler and diluter share a single power source, the 2.5 L dilution reservoir has low-level control (5 L optional), and the AFHS is compatible with BWB flame photometer models from 2014 onward.
