Overview

Product overview

FIBROS is a dry disperser designed to separate even heavily entangled fibre collectives so that fibre length, diameter and straightness can be measured automatically with QICPIC, without manual separation of single fibres. It applies the carding principle known from cotton spinning, using a rotating nozzle and brush with a static card and sieve.

Fibres of 500 to 30,000 µm length and 5 to 5,000 µm diameter are dispersed within minutes and carried through the GRADIS fall shaft to the measuring zone by an airstream. Different brush, card and sieve combinations adapt it to the application, and dispersion parameters are set and monitored by software or on the control panel.
