Overview

Product overview

FLOWCELL is an open-loop flow cell for measuring coarse particles in liquids with QICPIC, such as pulps in juice or ion-exchange polymer beads. Flow diameters of 10 mm and 20 mm allow throughputs above 10 and 20 l/min respectively, so representative particle numbers are captured, and it is also suitable for pressure- or shear-sensitive particles and for agglomeration or polymerisation processes.

A basic unit mounts in the QICPIC measuring zone and a vertical stainless-steel cuvette is pushed into an O-ring seal and fixed by a swivelling holder. In a typical set-up the sample flows by gravity from a container above, so no power supply or control is needed. It can be used with all QICPIC sensors in ranges M8 or M9.
